Advancing Space Science through Undergraduate Research Experience (ASSURE)
The Advancing Space Science through Undergraduate Research Experience (ASSURE) is a National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program hosted by the Space Sciences Laboratory (SSL) at the University of California, Berkeley. This program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge space science research under the mentorship of experienced scientists.
ASSURE provides a 10-week summer research experience where students participate in projects related to space sciences, including topics such as the Sun, Earth’s space environment, the Solar System, and the wider cosmos. The program includes workshops, seminars, and a final presentation of research findings.
