The Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Program in Molecular Biosciences at Colorado State University (CSU) offers undergraduate students a comprehensive opportunity to engage in independent research projects within the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology. Supported by the National Science Foundation, this 10-week summer program is designed to immerse students in active research, enhance their scientific skills, and prepare them for advanced studies or careers in the biomedical sciences. Participants will engage in research across various areas, including protein structure and function, gene expression analysis, molecular neurobiology, cancer biology, plant molecular biology, and more. Students will learn to formulate and test hypotheses, troubleshoot experiments, and utilize state-of-the-art techniques and instrumentation. Many participants have had their research published in scientific journals.
