Colorado Summer Institute in Biostatistics (CoSIBS)

CoSIBS is a 6-week interdisciplinary training and research program that introduces undergraduate and early-stage graduate students to the field of biostatistics and data science. The program exposes students to diverse research in medical and public health settings, using a wide array of biostatistical applications. Participants interact with faculty across multiple departments and campuses at the University of Colorado.
Completed applications are reviewed on a rolling basis from January through March. Final decisions will be made by April 30.

Eligibility Requirements
- Be an undergraduate or early graduate student at an accredited school or university
- Be a U.S. citizen or Permanent resident
- Have some background knowledge of programming and introductory courses in probability, calculus, and linear algebra (requirements are flexible)
- Have an interest in data science and biostatistical research
- Preference given to applicants with at least 2 years of undergraduate study
