The MD-PhD Undergraduate Summer (MPUS) Fellowship Program at Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine is an immersive 10-week summer research program designed for undergraduate students interested in pursuing dual MD-PhD degrees. The program aims to provide students with a comprehensive research experience, exposure to clinical medicine, and insights into the MD-PhD career path. Participants will work closely with Dartmouth faculty on research projects, attend seminars and workshops, and participate in clinical shadowing. The program culminates in a research symposium where students present their findings
Eligibility Requirements
- Science GPA at or greater than 3.3 (on a 4.0 scale).
- Prior research experience not required but desirable.
- Applicants must be a sophomore or junior at time of application.
- Applicants must hold either US citizenship or permanent resident status.
- Students affiliated with funded summer undergraduate research organizations (i.e., MARC, U-Star, McNair, LSAMP) are especially encouraged to apply.
- Fellows need to be available from the middle of June to the middle of August. Due to Dartmouth's term schedule, earlier start dates are not available. Start dates will be sent to accepted Fellows.
