Amgen Scholars Program, Duke University
The Amgen Scholars Program at Duke University offers a 10-week summer research experience for undergraduates interested in pursuing a Ph.D. or M.D.-Ph.D. in science and biotechnology fields. The program provides participants with the opportunity to conduct independent research projects under the mentorship of Duke faculty members. In addition to research activities, the program includes seminars, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to enhance the educational and professional development of the scholars. The program culminates in the Amgen Scholars U.S. Symposium, where students present their research and network with peers and industry leaders.
Eligibility Requirements
- U.S. citizens or permanent residents
- Undergraduates enrolled in accredited four-year colleges or universities in the U.S., Puerto Rico, or other U.S. territories
- Sophomores, juniors, or non-graduating seniors (returning in the fall to continue undergraduate studies)
- A cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above
- Interest in pursuing a PhD or MD/PhD in a scientific field
