Eugene and Ruth Roberts Summer Student Academy
The Eugene and Ruth Roberts Summer Student Academy at City of Hope offers high school and undergraduate students a comprehensive, hands-on research experience in biomedical sciences. Established in 1960, the program aims to identify and nurture students with exceptional potential in biomedical research. Participants design and execute their own research projects under the mentorship of City of Hope faculty, engaging closely with postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and lab personnel. The program emphasizes the development of critical thinking, as well as oral and written communication skills, through weekly seminars, presentations, and a culminating written report.
