Institute of Advanced Study Princeton Summer Program
The Undergraduate Summer School (USS) at the IAS/Park City Mathematics Institute (PCMI) offers undergraduate mathematics majors and recent graduates an intensive research experience in mathematics. Participants engage in a three-week residential program featuring a lecture series on cutting-edge topics such as Extremal and Probabilistic Combinatorics for the 2025 session, held July 6-26, 2025 in Park City, Utah. The program fosters deep learning and collaboration in a multidisciplinary environment with graduate students, postdocs, researchers, and faculty from parallel PCMI programs.
Activities include attending specialized lectures, working on problem sets, and participating in discussions that bridge different mathematical levels and perspectives. Participants are expected to reside on-site for the full duration, promoting immersion and interaction across the PCMI Summer Session's interconnected programs. This structure provides undergraduates with exposure to advanced research and professional networking opportunities in pure mathematics.
