The Marie Skłodowska-Curie (MSCA) European and Global Postdoctoral Fellowships support early-career researchers who wish to acquire new skills through international, interdisciplinary, and inter-sectoral mobility, with the University of Sheffield serving as host institution. European Fellowships fund 1-2 years of research based in the UK. Global Fellowships fund a 2-3 year award combining an outgoing phase outside Europe with a mandatory return phase at the host institution in Europe. The scheme is funded through Horizon Europe.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must hold a PhD at the time of the call deadline (9 September 2026).
- No more than eight years of full-time-equivalent research experience since the PhD.
- European Fellowship: open to researchers of any nationality; must not have resided or worked in the UK for more than 12 months in the 36 months prior to the call deadline.
- Global Fellowship: open only to nationals or long-term residents of EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries.
