The Statistics Summer Research Internships at the University of Oxford offer undergraduate students the opportunity to experience graduate-level research. This program is designed to introduce students to advanced research techniques and methodologies, enhancing their skills and confidence in a real-world research environment. The internships last eight weeks, running Monday 6 July to Friday 28 August 2026, and involve working on a research project under the supervision of academic staff from the Department of Statistics. Eligibility Requirements
- be ordinarily resident in the UK without any restrictions on how long they can stay. UK residence should not have been wholly or mainly for the purpose of receiving full-time education
- be currently undertaking an undergraduate (including an integrated master's) degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a closely related subject, and be in at least the second year of a course at a UK or Irish university
- be on track to achieve a final undergraduate degree grade of a strong 2:1 or First.
