UMichigan Research Experience for Undergraduates in Physics
The REU program in Physics at the University of Michigan provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to engage in a 10-week summer research experience. This program is supported by the National Science Foundation and offers a variety of research projects across different areas of physics, including astrophysics, condensed matter physics, high energy physics, and nuclear physics. Participants work closely with faculty mentors, gaining hands-on experience in experimental and theoretical physics research. The program also includes professional development activities, workshops, and social events.

Eligibility Requirements
- Open to undergraduate students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
- Students from institutions without extensive research facilities are particularly encouraged to apply.
