A 10-week paid summer mentored internship (SHARP) designed to inspire students from all communities to pursue further studies and careers in public health-oriented clinical, socio-behavioral, and community-focused research. The 2026 program runs June 8 – August 14, 2026. Applying is a two-step process: an initial Statement of Interest, resume, transcript, and letter of recommendation, followed by an employment application and interview for top candidates through partner Heluna Health.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or certificate program, or a recent graduate (within 2 years).
  • Graduate students are not eligible.
  • Encourages applications from African Americans, Latinx, Indigenous people, persons with disabilities, disadvantaged backgrounds, and LGBTQ+ individuals.
