SCRI Summer Scholars Program
The Summer Scholars Program (SSSP) at Seattle Children's Research Institute offers undergraduate students a paid summer internship to engage in research projects under the mentorship of experienced researchers and principal investigators. The program is designed to support students from backgrounds historically underrepresented in the biomedical and health sciences. Participants engage in basic, clinical, community-based, or translational research projects, gaining hands-on experience as part of Seattle Children's research teams. The program includes a core curriculum to strengthen research knowledge and skills, explore research pathways, and address cultural issues in research. It culminates with scholars publishing an abstract of their research project and presenting their findings at a poster symposium.
