SETI Institute REU — Life in the Universe (Astrobiology)

The SETI Institute's NSF-funded REU places undergraduates in a 10-week summer research experience across the breadth of astrobiology — from microbiology and planetary geology to observational astronomy — working directly with SETI Institute scientists and researchers at the adjacent NASA Ames Research Center. Students complete an individual research project, join seminars and field trips, and often present at national conferences. Support is $7,000 ($700/week), plus dorm housing and travel reimbursement.
