The SMASH Engineering program at the University of Notre Dame provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research on soft materials used in sustainability and healthcare applications. This interdisciplinary program focuses on developing innovative materials and technologies that address critical challenges in these areas. Students work under the mentorship of faculty members, gaining hands-on experience in research methods and contributing to impactful projects.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Open to undergraduate students interested in chemical and biomolecular engineering.
  • Students must be in good academic standing.
  • Preference may be given to students who have completed relevant coursework or have prior research experience in materials science or engineering
