The Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) — the science operations centre for the Hubble and James Webb Space Telescopes — hires about a dozen college students each summer for its Space Astronomy Summer Program (SASP).
Eligibility Requirements
- Primarily upper-division undergraduates (other strong candidates considered case by case)
- Strong interest in space-based astronomy, engineering, or public outreach
- Background in astronomy, mathematics, and/or physics is helpful but not strictly required
- Open to US and international applicants (visa assistance provided)
