UNICEF Internship Programme
The UNICEF Internship Programme provides students and recent graduates with hands-on experience in UNICEF's global offices worldwide. Interns contribute to various areas such as programme management, research, communications, knowledge management, WASH, digital learning, and social behavior change, depending on specific postings. The programme lasts between 6 to 26 weeks, full-time or part-time, and offers practical exposure to humanitarian and development work focused on children's rights.
Interns receive a monthly stipend and, in some cases, support for travel and visa costs. Opportunities are available at headquarters, regional, and country offices across multiple countries, including remote and hybrid options. The programme emphasizes learning, skill development, and organizational contributions without guarantee of future employment.
Applications are submitted through individual vacancy postings on the UNICEF careers portal, allowing flexibility in timing and location preferences. Current openings as of March 2026 include positions in Finland, Tanzania, Zambia, Mozambique, Ghana, Belgium, Kenya, and Brazil, demonstrating the programme's global scope and ongoing availability.
