The Summer Program for Undergraduate Research (SPUR) at the University of Utah provides undergraduate students with an opportunity to conduct research under the mentorship of faculty members. This 10-week program is designed to enhance students' research skills, provide hands-on experience, and foster a deeper understanding of their chosen field of study. Participants will engage in research projects, attend seminars, and present their findings at a concluding symposium.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a current undergraduate student at the time of application.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Must have completed at least one year of undergraduate study by the start of the program.
- Must demonstrate an interest in research and a commitment to pursuing a career in a related field.
- Students from underrepresented groups in research, those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, or those who have overcome significant educational, social, or economic barriers are encouraged to apply.
