The Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) at West Virginia University (WVU) offers undergraduate students the opportunity to engage in research activities across various fields of study. Participants work closely with faculty mentors on research projects, attend workshops, and present their findings at the end of the program. SURE aims to provide students with hands-on research experience, enhancing their academic and professional development.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student.
  • Must have completed at least one year of undergraduate study by the start of the program.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing research and advanced studies.
  • Students from underrepresented groups in research, those with disabilities, or those who have faced significant educational or economic disadvantages are encouraged to apply
