The Anthony H. Richmond Scholarship is awarded annually (minimum of one award per year, valued at $2,000) to a graduate-level York University student conducting research on the interactions between (1) refugees, forced migration, immigration and/or resettlement within or outside countries of origin, and (2) the environment. It is named for Anthony (Tony) Richmond, Professor Emeritus and founding director of York's graduate Sociology program and a founding member of the York Centre for Refugee Studies, whose later academic work focused on refugees and refugee policy.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a graduate-level student at York University
- Research must address the interaction between refugee/forced migration/immigration/resettlement issues and the environment
