The Clarendon Scholarship, funded by the Clarendon Fund at the University of Oxford, awards over 200 fully-funded scholarships each year to academically outstanding graduate students from all nationalities and all degree-bearing subjects. Selected solely on academic merit and potential, recipients join one of Oxford's most active and diverse scholarly communities.

Scholarships cover full course fees regardless of fee status (Home or Overseas) and provide an annual living expenses grant equivalent to at least the UKRI minimum doctoral stipend rate (£18,622 for 2023-24, expected to increase annually). The duration aligns with the scholar's period of fee liability, typically 1 year for Master's courses and 3-4 years for DPhil, with possible discretionary extensions for living costs beyond fee liability.

There is no separate application; all eligible graduate applicants are automatically considered upon submitting their course application by the relevant deadline. Offers are notified by late April to mid-June.
