The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme (CSSS) is a collaborative initiative between the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and UK universities. It aims to support students from developing Commonwealth countries who, due to financial constraints, would otherwise be unable to pursue postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be citizens of or have been granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person.
- Must be a permanent resident in an eligible Commonwealth country.
- A first degree of at least upper second-class (2:1) honors standard, or a lower second-class degree (2:2) and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master's degree).
- Must demonstrate that they are unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship.
