The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program provides comprehensive scholarships to academically talented but economically disadvantaged students from sub-Saharan Africa. The program aims to develop a network of leaders who will drive transformative change in their communities. The scholarship covers full tuition, accommodation, books, and a stipend, offering an opportunity for young leaders to gain a world-class education at KNUST.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a citizen of any African country.
- Applicants should have gained admission to KNUST or be in the process of applying for undergraduate studies.
- Must have valid results from WASSCE, GBCE, ABCE, GCE O Level, or A Level (or equivalent) from an accredited/recognized institution. Results must not be older than five years. No awaiting results will be accepted.
- Must meet KNUST’s admission requirements.
- Must demonstrate critical economic need.
- Must provide proven records of leadership and community engagement.
- Priority is given to:
- Females.
- Displaced persons (e.g., certified refugees, internally displaced individuals, etc.).
- Persons living with disabilities.
- Must demonstrate willingness to give back to their community after completing studies.
- Must not currently be enrolled in any tertiary institution.
