Poland Ignacy Lukasiewicz Scholarship Programme

PolandMaster'sEntry ID: SC-05361

The Ignacy Łukasiewicz Scholarship Programme is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) within the framework of Polish Development Assistance.

It supports socio-economic growth of developing countries (excluding Europe and Central Asia) by providing tuition-free second-cycle (Master's degree) studies at public Polish universities supervised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, in engineering and technical sciences, agricultural sciences, exact and natural sciences. Studies are preceded by a fully covered preparatory course teaching Polish language, culture, and introductory subjects. A monthly maintenance scholarship covers accommodation and living expenses during the regulatory study period and preparatory course (up to 12 months/year).

Candidates were selected annually through competitive calls via NAWA's ICT system; however, the programme is now listed under completed programmes on the Polish NAWA site, possibly merged into the Banach Scholarship Programme since 2021.
