Child Family Health International (CFHI) is a US-based 501(c)(3) non-profit and a UN-recognized non-governmental organization that runs socially-responsible global health education programs for pre-medical, medical, nursing, physician-assistant, public-health, and other health-science students. It offers 40 community-based programs across 12 countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Ghana, India, Mexico, the Philippines, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and the United States. Students are paired with local health professionals to learn how health systems and healing work in context.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Meet the individual program's prerequisites (level, language, and background vary by placement)
  • Able to pay program fees (scholarships and fundraising support available)
