The Emergency Medicine Clinical Research Team (EMCRT), formerly known as the Emergency Medicine Academic Associate Program (EMAAP), is a one- or two-year, full-time, paid program in Northwell Health's Department of Emergency Medicine. The team is based across North Shore University Hospital, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and Cohen Children's Medical Center, with enrolling studies conducted primarily in the emergency department and intensive care units.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Recent graduates of an undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Interest in clinical research, biostatistics, quality improvement, and/or hospital administration.
  • Availability to commit full-time for one to two years.
  • Strong interest in pursuing further training (medical school, PA programs, MPH, PhD, or growth into a CRC role) is preferred.
