DaRin Butz Foundation Research Internship Program

United States · MassachusettsUndergraduateEntry ID: PR-99220

The DaRin Butz Foundation Research Internship Program at the Chicago Botanic Garden provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to conduct research in plant biology, ecology, and conservation science. The program is designed to immerse students in hands-on fieldwork, laboratory research, and data analysis related to ecological restoration and plant conservation.

Participants work closely with scientists and researchers at the Chicago Botanic Garden on projects that focus on topics such as plant-pollinator interactions, seed banking, native plant restoration, invasive species management, and habitat conservation. In addition to research activities, students are involved in various stages of scientific inquiry, including experimental design, data collection, and the interpretation of results.

The program also includes professional development activities such as seminars, workshops, and field trips that provide students with a broader understanding of conservation and ecological research. Students develop important skills in scientific communication, research methodologies, and teamwork, which are valuable for future academic or professional pursuits in environmental science.
