The DIMACS Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program is a long-running summer research experience at Rutgers University's Center for Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science. Running for more than two decades, it places undergraduates in mathematics, computer science, and related disciplines into an intensive, multidisciplinary research environment.
Eligibility Requirements
- Undergraduate in mathematics, computer science, or a closely related field
- Strong mathematical background
- Preference to juniors and seniors; exceptionally strong sophomores also considered
- Open to students from institutions across the country, not only Rutgers
- Some projects/funding streams limited to US citizens or permanent residents
