MacDowell is the oldest artist fellowship in the United States, awarding fellowships that provide time, space, and support for creative work across disciplines. Fellows receive a private studio, accommodation, and meals; there are no residency fees, and MacDowell provides financial assistance toward travel and expenses such as lost income and childcare. It welcomes applications from artists of all backgrounds and all countries in architecture, film/video, interdisciplinary arts, literature, music composition, theatre, and visual arts. A nonrefundable $30 application fee applies (waivers available on request).
