Mitacs Globalink Research Internship
The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship is a competitive initiative for international undergraduates from select countries, offering a 12-week research internship under the supervision of Canadian university faculty members. The program spans a variety of academic disciplines, including science, engineering, mathematics, humanities, and social sciences. Interns work with faculty members, graduate students, and research associates, gaining hands-on research experience while exploring Canada's unique research landscape. The program includes professional skills development courses and social activities, providing a comprehensive international research experience.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
- Enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or combined undergraduate/master’s program at an eligible institution.
- Must have one to three semesters remaining in their program as of Fall 2026.
- Meet the grade requirements for their country of study.
- Apply to a minimum of three and a maximum of seven projects, ensuring selections are from at least three different Canadian provinces.
- Fluent in the language of the project (English and/or French).
- Available to start a 12-week internship between May 1 and July 31, finishing by October 31.
- Must not have been awarded a Globalink Research Internship project in the past.
