United States · WisconsinUndergraduateEntry ID: PR-08447

The Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) in Chemistry and Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is designed to provide undergraduate students with an in-depth research experience in the fields of chemistry and chemical and biological engineering. The program focuses on engaging students in cutting-edge research projects that explore various aspects of chemical processes, materials science, biochemical engineering, and more.

Participants in the REU program work under the mentorship of faculty members and graduate students in the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. The research projects may cover a wide range of topics, including reaction engineering, catalysis, materials synthesis, environmental chemistry, biomolecular engineering, and nanotechnology.

In addition to conducting research, students participate in professional development activities, including workshops on research ethics, scientific communication, and preparing for graduate school. The program often includes a series of seminars and networking opportunities with faculty, graduate students, and industry professionals.
