United States · WisconsinUndergraduateEntry ID: PR-93248

The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program in Astronomy and Astrophysics at UW-Madison offers undergraduate students a hands-on research experience in the fields of astronomy and astrophysics. Participants work closely with faculty mentors on cutting-edge research projects, which may include observational astronomy, theoretical modeling, or instrumentation development. The program is designed to provide students with valuable research experience, enhance their technical skills, and prepare them for graduate studies or careers in astronomy and related fields.

Throughout the summer program, students engage in intensive research activities, attend seminars and workshops, and participate in group discussions. The program culminates in a presentation where students showcase their research findings. This experience not only enhances students' understanding of the universe but also helps them build a strong foundation for their future academic and professional pursuits in the sciences.
