Summer Undergraduate Research Experiences (SURE)
The Summer Undergraduate Research Experiences (SURE) program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison offers undergraduate students the chance to engage in full-time research during the summer under the mentorship of a faculty member. Eligibility Requirements
- Undergraduate students majoring in mathematics, chemistry, physics, engineering, biotechnology related engineering areas, and other physical sciences with an interest in attending graduate school.
- Students who have completed their junior year.
- Students with an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Because SURE/REU is a graduate recruitment program, specific GPA requirements for graduate applications in individual departments will be applied.
- Students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolled in an accredited college or university.
