United States · CaliforniaUndergraduateEntry ID: PR-15131

The Sustainability, Engineering, and Science - Undergraduate Research (SESUR) program at Stanford University is designed to provide undergraduate students with hands-on research experience in fields related to sustainability, environmental science, and engineering. This program allows students to work closely with faculty mentors on projects that address critical issues such as climate change, resource management, renewable energy, environmental policy, and ecosystem preservation.

Participants in the SESUR program engage in independent research under the guidance of a faculty mentor. The research projects are interdisciplinary, often integrating aspects of science, engineering, and public policy to tackle complex environmental challenges. Students develop their research skills, gain experience in data analysis, and contribute to ongoing efforts to promote sustainability.

In addition to conducting research, SESUR participants may have opportunities to attend seminars, workshops, and field trips related to sustainability and environmental science. These activities enhance the educational experience by providing context and real-world applications of the research conducted.
