The Australian Government Research Training Program (AGRTP) Full-time Scholarships are designed to support international students undertaking postgraduate research degrees at Australian universities. These scholarships aim to enhance Australia's research capacity by supporting highly qualified international students.
Stipend and Support:
- Stipend: Valued at $35,000 annually (2024 rate), payable in fortnightly installments.
- Tuition Fees: Fee exemption for up to four years (eight sessions) for a PhD/Research Doctorate or two years (four sessions) for a Research Master's at full-time study.
- Operating Funds: An allowance to assist with costs associated with the candidate’s research.
- Relocation Allowance: Up to AUD $5,000 for the cost of relocating to a Charles Sturt University campus.
Eligibility Requirements
- Open to Australian or New Zealand citizens, and Australian permanent residents.
- Applicants must be commencing or currently enrolled in a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) program at Charles Sturt University.
- Enrollment as a full-time student is required.
- Applicants are ineligible if they are:
- Enrolled concurrently in another program unless it is essential to the success of the HDR or exceptional circumstances exist and are approved.
- Receiving another Commonwealth-funded postgraduate research scholarship.
