The Elite Athlete Scholarships at CSU are designed to support student-athletes who are recognized as elite athletes by national sporting bodies. These scholarships help them balance their academic pursuits with their sporting commitments. CSU recognizes the unique challenges faced by elite athletes in managing their sporting and academic responsibilities and offers financial and academic support to assist them.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be enrolled as an active student in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Charles Sturt University.
  • Hold a Commonwealth Supported Place; full fee-paying students are not eligible.
  • For continuing students, maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0 or higher (pass grade average).
  • Be an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, or hold an Australian permanent visa.
  • Demonstrate financial circumstances associated with sporting or performing representation costs (e.g., receipts or invoices).
  • Provide a reference from a Sporting Association or the Charles Sturt University Elite Athlete Program Coordinator.
  • Show evidence of sporting or performing representation at state, national, or international levels in 2025 (e.g., verification letter from a coach or manager).
  • If applicable, provide payslips and/or sponsorship details from the sporting association/team.
  • Be a member of the Charles Sturt University Elite Athlete and Performer Program or be in the process of becoming a member.
