The Birmingham Masters Scholarship is a £3,000 tuition fee waiver offered by the University of Birmingham to support outstanding students commencing eligible master's programs.

The scholarship applies to the following full-time and part-time taught master's programs delivered at the Edgbaston Campus or via distance learning.

Note: MA/MSc by Research, MRes, integrated master's degrees (e.g., MSci, MEng), intercalated master's degrees, postgraduate diplomas, certificates, and programs delivered at the Dubai Campus are ineligible.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must be domiciled in the UK and classified as 'Home' students for tuition fee purposes.
  • Candidates should be self-funded or applying for a postgraduate government loan to cover fees and living expenses. Recipients of other scholarships are generally ineligible, except for those holding the University of Birmingham Postgraduate Progression Award.
  • Applicants must not be currently enrolled in a postgraduate program and should be applying for a full 180-credit taught master's course at the University of Birmingham.
