The DAAD Development-Related Postgraduate Courses (EPOS) programme funds fully-financed Master's and some PhD study in Germany in development-related fields — including economics, public policy, engineering, agriculture, public health, water management, and media — for professionals from developing and emerging countries. Scholars receive monthly payments (992 euros for graduates or 1,300-1,400 euros for doctoral candidates), health/accident/liability insurance, and a travel allowance, with possible additional rent and family subsidies. Eligibility Requirements

  • National of an eligible developing or emerging country
  • Bachelor's degree (normally four years) in a relevant subject, with above-average results
  • At least two years of relevant professional experience after the first degree
  • Academic degree normally not more than six years old
  • Not resident in Germany for longer than 15 months at the application deadline
