The Drexel Merit Scholarship is awarded to incoming first-year and transfer students who have demonstrated superior academic performance. The Admissions Committee evaluates applicants based on their academic credentials to determine eligibility for this merit-based scholarship. First-year students admitted Early Decision/Early Action receive $20,000-$35,000; Regular Decision admits receive $10,000-$35,000. Transfer student award amounts are determined case-by-case. The scholarship is renewable for future years of a student's undergraduate degree program during terms they are registered for classes (the scholarship is not available during co-op), provided that they maintain full-time status and a 2.0 cumulative GPA each academic year.
Eligibility Requirements
- First-year and transfer applicants.
- Domestic and international applicants.
- Students seeking a second bachelor's degree, as well as those who have earned a graduate/professional degree prior to their start at Drexel, are ineligible.
- Transfer students who qualify for the Drexel Promise Scholarship will not be considered for additional merit scholarships.
