Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program Stanford
The Knight-Hennessy Scholars program at Stanford University is the largest fully endowed, university-wide graduate fellowship in the world. It develops leadership capabilities for future global impact through a multidisciplinary community of scholars.
Scholars receive up to three years of funding for any graduate degree(s) at Stanford, including tuition, stipend for living and academic expenses, and a travel allowance each year. Scholars also participate in the King Global Leadership Program, featuring workshops, lectures, projects, and experiences to strengthen transformational leadership skills.
Eligibility Requirements
- Open to citizens and residents of all countries.
- For the 2026 cohort, must have earned bachelor's degree by January 2019 or later (within ~7 years of cohort start).
- Must apply to, be accepted by, and enroll in a full-time Stanford graduate degree program (MA, MS, MBA, JD, MD, PhD, etc.).
- Demonstrate independence, leadership, and civic mindset.
