The HCI Foundation Bursary is a financial aid initiative funded by the HCI Foundation, the corporate social investment arm of HCI, a black empowerment investment company in South Africa. The bursary is primarily designed to support financially needy students in obtaining tertiary education. It is aimed at students who are underprivileged and show academic potential, providing them with the financial support necessary to cover expenses associated with their studies, such as tuition fees, accommodation, and textbooks.

Eligibility Requirements

  • South African citizens, refugees, and asylum seekers.
  • Current HCI Foundation bursary recipients continuing undergraduate studies, or new Honours/Postgraduate Diploma students at listed institutions.
  • Gross family income below R38,000 per month.
  • Age 35 or younger as of 31 March of the award year.
