The Ninety One Bursary (Changeblazers) is aimed at supporting academically talented yet financially needy students who are pursuing studies in fields critical to the South African economy: Business, Finance and Economics; Technology and Computer Science; Engineering; Healthcare (excluding medicine, dentistry and veterinary science); Psychology; and Education. Managed through a collaborative effort, this bursary seeks to foster the development of essential skills and nurture the potential of future professionals. The bursary covers full tuition and registration fees, provides allowances for books, and in some cases, accommodation and a stipend, ensuring that recipients can focus on their studies without financial strain.
Eligibility Requirements
- Intend on studying full time in one of the listed fields of study, at a South African university
- Demonstrate academic excellence
- Demonstrate leadership qualities
- Preferably have obtained a minimum of 70% in English and Mathematics or Sciences in Grade 11
- Be a South African citizen under the age of 21
- Demonstrate financial need (typically a family income of less than R600,000 per annum)
- Meet the minimum entrance requirements for their chosen field of study
