Narrm Scholarship

The Narrm Scholarship at the University of Melbourne is designed to support domestic undergraduate students facing disadvantaged circumstances, as well as Indigenous students enrolling in undergraduate degrees. This scholarship provides financial assistance and enrichment programs to help students transition to and succeed at university.
Eligible students are automatically considered if they have applied for admission to the University via VTAC Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS). No separate application is required.
Stipend and Support:
- Living Allowance: $6,500 per year for four years, paid in half-yearly instalments of $3,250 in April and September.
- Relocation Allowance: A one-off payment of $3,000, paid shortly after enrolling in the course, for students from regional or remote areas of Australia.
- Accommodation Allowance: Up to $20,000 per year for four years, paid directly to the accommodation provider, for students from regional and remote areas of Australia living at approved University Student Accommodation.
Eligibility Requirements
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or a holder of an Australian permanent visa.
- Have completed Year 12 or International Baccalaureate in Australia.
- Not have completed subjects undertaken as part of a tertiary course (excluding extension program subjects).
- Have applied for a University of Melbourne undergraduate degree via the VTAC Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) for commencement in the year following completion of Year 12 or International Baccalaureate.
- Meet the Access Melbourne entry requirements for the University of Melbourne course nominated in your VTAC application.
