The Sydney Scholars India Scholarship Program at the University of Sydney offers financial support to exceptional Indian students commencing undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degrees. This initiative aims to strengthen educational ties between the University and India, fostering future leaders who can contribute positively to both nations.

Scholarship Details:

  • Total Value: Up to AUD 500,000 awarded annually.
  • Individual Awards:
    • 3 scholarships of AUD 40,000 per annum for any undergraduate degree up to four years.
    • 10 scholarships of AUD 20,000 for the first year of undergraduate or postgraduate study.
    • 15 scholarships of AUD 10,000 for the first year of undergraduate or postgraduate study.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be an Indian citizen and current resident of India.
  • Classified as an international student as per the Higher Education Support Act 2003 (excluding Australian citizens and permanent residents).
  • Applied for but not yet commenced an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at the University of Sydney at the time of application.
