The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships at the University of Toronto recognize outstanding international students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, creativity, leadership within their school, and potential to contribute positively to the global community. Approximately 37 students are selected annually as Pearson Scholars from schools worldwide. The scholarship is tenable only at the University of Toronto for first-entry undergraduate programs and provides full coverage of tuition, books, incidental fees, and residence support for four years. It does not cover travel, visa fees, or living expenses during breaks.
Eligibility Requirements
- International student (non-Canadian requiring a study permit)
- Currently in final year of senior secondary school in 2026/2027 or graduated no earlier than June 2026
- Beginning full-time studies at University of Toronto in September 2027
- Not currently attending post-secondary studies or starting in January 2027 elsewhere
- Nominated by current high school (one per school; schools access nomination July 6, 2026)
