Turkiye Burslari (Turkey Government Scholarship)

Türkiye Scholarships (Turkiye Burslari) is a government-funded, competitive scholarship program offered by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB). It provides international students from all countries with opportunities to pursue full-time associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees, as well as short-term programs, at prestigious Turkish universities. The program aims to foster long-term cooperation between Türkiye and other nations by building networks of future leaders and promoting mutual understanding among societies. Successful applicants receive comprehensive support including university and program placement, full tuition coverage, monthly stipend (4,500 TL for undergraduate, 6,500 TL for master's, 9,000 TL for PhD), free accommodation, health insurance, a one-time return flight ticket, one-year Turkish language course (if needed), and access to academic, cultural, and professional development programs. The duration matches the standard length of the degree program, typically 4-6 years for undergraduate and 2-4 years for graduate studies, with language training where applicable.

Applications for the 2026-2027 academic year were open from January 10 to February 25, 2026 (extended from original February 20), and are submitted online via the Türkiye Scholarships Information System (TBBS) free of charge. Candidates select up to 12 program preferences, and placements are handled centrally. The program is unique in combining scholarship funding with guaranteed university admission, eliminating the need for separate applications. Beyond financial aid, it offers extracurricular activities, internships, and integration support to ensure a holistic student experience in Türkiye.
