The University of Bordeaux offers doctoral contracts to attract international candidates within the scientific scope of its Graduate Programs (around 15 programs, including AFRICA, ARCHEO, Cancer Biology, Cardiac EP, Digital Public Health, EcoPoDeMa, EUREkA, Infinity², LEXFI, Numerics, SENSE and SiTH). These scholarships support international doctoral candidates to start their PhD studies at the University of Bordeaux. The doctoral contract carries a gross monthly salary of €2,200 (as of 1 January 2025), rising to €2,300 gross per month as of 1 January 2026. Candidates may also apply for additional complementary missions for further remuneration.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be international candidates holding (or currently pursuing) a master's degree from a foreign institution. Additionally, candidates enrolled in the second year of a Master's "Graduate Program" at the University of Bordeaux, who obtained their prior degree (e.g., Licence, Bachelor, or Master 1) from an institution abroad, are eligible.
