University of Houston Transfer Excellence Scholarship
The Transfer Excellence Scholarship is designed to recognize and support outstanding students transferring to the University of Houston from other institutions. This scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, particularly for students who have demonstrated a strong academic record at their previous institution(s). The scholarship provides financial assistance to help cover tuition and related expenses, making it easier for students to continue their education at UH.
Amount: $2,000 per year ($1,000 per term) beginning with transfer students admitted fall 2023. Renewal recipients for 2023-24 are offered $1,000 per year ($500 per term).
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a new transfer student to the University of Houston.
- Must have completed at least 24 transferable credit hours at the time of application.
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on transferable coursework.
- Must be admitted to the University of Houston as a full-time student.
- Additional criteria may be specified by the University of Houston’s Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
