University of Warwick Chancellor's International Scholarships
The Chancellor's International Scholarships are prestigious fully-funded awards offered by the University of Warwick's Doctoral College for exceptional postgraduate research students commencing in October 2026. Allocated through a competitive single-application process, applicants are automatically considered for multiple schemes including the Chancellor's International Scholarships. Awards typically cover full overseas tuition fees, a maintenance stipend at the UKRI rate (historically around £18,622 for 2024/25, exact 2026 value scheme-specific), and a Researcher Training Support Grant of approximately £5,000. The scholarship supports full-time (100%) or part-time (60%) study depending on visa status, for up to 3.5 years of doctoral research in any discipline.
Up to 42 scholarships are available annually to international and EU students demonstrating outstanding academic potential and research promise. Benefits extend beyond funding to include up to 40 days annual leave (pro-rata), study suspension support, access to disability resources, and professional development opportunities. Award holders contribute to the university community through recruitment and outreach activities. Results for the 2026 entry were announced by 2 March 2026, with applications having closed on 11 December 2025.
