African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) Research Fellowship
The AIMS Research Fellowship refers to the visiting research fellowships offered by AIMS South Africa for advanced PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. These fellowships allow visitors to conduct their own research at AIMS, participate in teaching programs, give talks in journal clubs, and arrange visits to local universities. Options include two-month fellowships for advanced PhD students and postdocs, longer-term fellowships (2-6 months) with preference for African applicants from SADC states, and research-in-pairs initiatives for short visits (2-4 weeks).
AIMS provides a vibrant pan-African research environment in mathematical sciences. Fellows contribute to and benefit from the collaborative atmosphere, integrating deeply into institute life. Preference is given to African applicants, fostering regional research capacity.
