The Fogarty Global Health Fellowship — delivered through the NIH Fogarty International Center's "Launching Future Leaders in Global Health" (LAUNCH) program — provides a mentored year of global-health research at established institutions and field sites in low- and middle-income countries.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Doctoral student or postdoctoral trainee in the health professions
  • Will hold a doctoral or terminal degree by the start of the fellowship
  • Citizen or permanent resident of the US or an eligible partner country (e.g. Cameroon, Ghana, India, Kenya, Nepal, Peru, Thailand, Uganda)
  • Have both a US mentor and an international research-site mentor within a consortium
